Position Summary
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is a global leader in high-speed, high-bandwidth interconnect solutions supporting the data center, networking, server, storage, AI/ML and telecommunications markets. We are seeking a Product Line Manager - High Speed I/O Connectors to manage and grow a portfolio of high-speed connector products supporting next-generation data center and networking architectures.
The Product Line Manager will serve as the business owner for assigned product families, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and customers to develop product strategy, identify and win new opportunities, manage product roadmaps, support investment decisions, and drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with strong business acumen and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment where customer requirements, technology roadmaps and market conditions evolve quickly.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the business plan and product strategy for assigned High Speed I/O connector product families.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with customer requirements and market trends.
• Manage the NBO pipeline and work with Sales and Engineering to secure new design wins.
• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements, program timing and commercial expectations.
• Develop market assessments including TAM/SAM, competitive positioning and customer adoption trends.
• Manage revenue forecasts, pricing, cost and margin performance.
• Support new-product introduction and product-extension programs from business case through production ramp.
• Develop and justify CapEx and NRE requests based on market opportunity, financial return and risk.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on demand planning, capacity requirements and supply continuity.
• Manage product lifecycle activities including PCNs, product transitions and rationalization.
• Develop customer presentations, product positioning and sales-enablement materials.
• Track product-line KPIs including revenue, margin, design wins, NBO pipeline and forecast performance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, Business or related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, technical business development, program management or a related role.
• Experience in connectors, interconnects, data center hardware, networking, electronics or semiconductor-related industries strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and business skills with the ability to evaluate markets, financial performance and investment opportunities.
• Ability to understand technical products and translate customer and engineering requirements into business strategy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to internal leadership and customers.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional organizations.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically (10-25%) for customer meetings, manufacturing reviews and industry events.
• MBA preferred but not required.
