Position: Data Analyst

Location: Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Wallingford, CT and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Analyst to join our High Speed Backplane team that supports the High Speed Products Group. The position will be located onsite in one of either our Valley Green, PA or Nashua, NH offices.

About the Role

The Data Analyst must have programming proficiency and will lead the modernization of manual, Excel-based workflows into scalable, automated data pipelines — starting with a critical existing process and expanding across multiple business processes over time. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver reliable data outputs that drive informed decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

What you'll do:

  • Document and map the current data flow, including inputs, transformations, manual steps, and outputs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their process requirements and translate them into automated solutions
  • Redesign and implement processes for automation using Python and SQL, eliminating fragile spreadsheet logic and replacing manual work with version-controlled, production-ready scripts
  • Automate data ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and delivery across multiple sources
  • Build validation checks to ensure the automated output matches and improves on the manual process
  • Develop reports, dashboards, or templates so non-technical stakeholders can consume outputs without touching raw data
  • Document the new workflow clearly and enable handoff to the broader team

QUALIFICATIONS:
A good candidate should have 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or similar role, with a proven track record of automating manual data processes.

  • Strong Python proficiency (pandas, numpy, docker, openpyxl, fastAPI, Django, ETL scripting) — comfortable writing production-ready code, not just exploratory analysis
  • Familiarity working with JSON for data handling & CSS for styling dashboards or visualizations
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and VBA/Power Query, to fully understand and rebuild existing processes
  • Experience designing, building, and documenting data pipelines or ETL workflows from scratch
  • Comfort working with messy, real-world data — cleaning, reconciling, and validating across multiple sources
  • Strong communication skills — able to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and explain technical decisions clearly to mixed audiences
  • Prior AI experience a plus, especially with Claude, Perplexity, or Cursor
