Position: Accountant
Location: Nashua, NH
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking an Accountant to join our team located in Nashua, NH.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, resolve outstanding items, and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies.
- Support monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Maintain Microsoft Dynamics AX and BPC financial structures, reporting hierarchies, financial dimensions, exchange rates, and related system configurations.
- Develop, maintain, and automate recurring financial reports and reconciliation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting consistency.
- Manage the monthly transfer, validation, and reconciliation of financial data between Microsoft Dynamics AX and BPC to ensure data integrity and support month end close process.
- Prepare audit documentation and provide supporting information for internal and external audit requests.
- Assist with maintaining internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Accounting to resolve accounting issues and support business operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects to enhance accounting processes and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred
- 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience in a public accounting firm or commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP systems preferred
- Intermediate to advances Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
