Position Summary:  Machine Operator

Location: Amphenol Spectra-Strip - Hamden, CT

Amphenol Spectra-Strip is a leader in hyper scale data center bulk wire solutions. We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

After training, operators will be expected to make production decisions concerning the product quality and operation of equipment. Operators must be flexible and adaptable, as they may be required to rotate job assignments throughout production. In addition, it is the responsibility of the operator to contribute to the maintenance of a safe work environment for themselves and their fellow operators.

• Check production work schedules for job assignment and work reporting time.      
• Maintaining production schedule while verifying product running order.        
• Set up production line (materials, tools, programs)      
• Performing quality control inspection of ongoing production    
• Documentation of information sheets (run logs, timecards)      
• Ensuring that work area is clean and organized           
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Documentation experience
• Prior work experience that required organization and attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined
